WHAT OUR CLIENTS ARE SAYING

Joy M French Forelock Braid
Joy M.
Hunter Rider
“I think the common misunderstanding about braiding is that it’s something only the professionals can do! This program is wonderful because it’s taught BY a professional, for anyone interested in braiding for themselves. It provides all of the tools in a variety of formats… to set you up to be successful at braiding! It breaks down the seemingly overwhelming process of braiding your horse, into bite size pieces that will make you feel confident and excited to put these tips into practice. I highly recommend this!.”

Hunter Braid Testimonials
Samantha K.
Successful AQHA Competitor
“Braid Secrets gave my already good braids a finished look and the small details to make them ‘professional’… I have loved your options on how to really ‘prepare a mane’. I always dreaded braiding a mane that I didn’t know. Now within a few minutes I feel I have the tools to make a mane more manageable and also know exactly what I need to do to make it manageable… A beginning braider won’t get into bad habits and will have a terrific start, a more advanced braider will get those finish tips for a professional look. I also appreciate your feedback on the tightness of when and when not to pull. That was a game changer! I don’t even have to vet wrap my ring fingers anymore because I don’t have to tie off that hard!”

Jaci B. Hunter Braids After Braid Secrets Workshop
Jaci B.
Pony Mom of a 14 yr old Eventer and her Welsh X with the heinously thick mane.

“Key items the most helpful with actual braiding were yarn recommendations and watching the captions of your video… the most important thing was the caption of one part of the video about not pulling hunter braids too tight. That was my biggest mistake… as I checked off all the other boxes (yarn, mane prep, knot technique) but still had wonky crooked braids. When I watched the video again, I caught the caption I didn’t notice before since I was so focused on yarn, mane prep and knit technique. Don’t make the knots too tight or they twist.

It was the “ah ha!” moment.

Still working on my technique. My daughter has switched to Eventing so working on dressage buttons more than hunters now. But the “after pics” were from when I braided her pony for a hunter clinic. I think it was my best effort to date. Will “just keep braiding” and thank you!”

Ambush Braid Makeover

Braids Before Learning Braid Secrets

I want to share some photos of Sunny and our braid job from last Sunday’s show (see photo below). We were able to use many of the strategies and techniques you showed us at the Ambush Makeover. Although we left his mane a bit longer in order to do this particular braid (reverse scallop), I did end up pulling the thicker areas over several days, using your painless pulling technique, which worked like a charm, and really helped make braiding so much easier! Rachel & her friend Kaitlyn, divided the entire mane into sections for each braid she wanted to make, then braided them all as for hunter braids. We used our SUPER braiding kit you so generously gifted use with too, and it is so handy to have everything right at your finger tips! On the thinner sections we incorporated two stands of yarn, as you suggested, and that really did the trick to balance everything out. I think Sunny was the best turned out horse at the show! Thank You, Mary Beth!~ Margie L. & Rachel
